  • Our school day begins at 8:55 AM and ends at 3:25 PM.Please be prompt.A note is required if there will be a change in your child’s regular school dismissal.
  • A nutritious snack and drink must be sent to school with your child every day - no glass containers, please.A lunch from home can be sent in a lunch box or bag unless purchasing a school lunch.More details regarding school lunches will be provided.
  • Birthday’s will be celebrated with fun in-class games and activities.Due to allergies and food restrictions, treats from home are not permitted.
  • Please label your child’s belongings with their name (eg:backpack, lunch box, jacket, etc).
  • A specific list of school supplies is available here on our school web page.Any other detailed information will be provided by your child’s kindergarten teacher.
  • We have outdoor recess every day – children should be dressed appropriately.
  • Please send in an extra set of clothing, labeled with your child’s name and placed in a zip-lock bag, in the event of spills or accidents.This will stay in your child’s backpack.
  • The kindergarten curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science, social studies and health as well as several thematic activities that revolve around the syllabus.
  • Kindergartners also have the following specials:
    • Gym ~ twice a week (sneakers and appropriate clothing are required)
    • Music ~ once a week
    • Library ~ once a week
    • Art ~ twice a month
  • You will be given a schedule listing the specific days of the week in which your child will be visiting their specials so they can come to school prepared.
  • Homework is generally assigned to the children Monday through Thursday, occasionally over weekends and holiday breaks.The homework is based on what is being covered in your child’s class.
  • Parent involvement is encouraged.A separate letter from our PTA will be sent to you informing you of the many ways of becoming a part of your child’s school life.Your child’s teacher may need assistance as well and will notify you when needed.
  • Field trips are planned throughout the year.You will receive plenty of notice when chaperones will be required.
