Reading Workshop: To begin our year, we will start learning about character traits and begin our first class read aloud, Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo. Remember to read each night to help build fluency!
Writing Workshop: Our first writing unit will focus on Narratives! The students love creating new characters and storylines for them. Remember to ask your child about their writing and have them read it to you!
Math: In Chapter 1 of math we will focus on Place Value skills. Remember to practice your multiplication facts on Reflex math each night to help strengthen your skills!
Science: We will begin our Science exploration this year focusing on Computers and Engineering! We have lots of hands-on fun ahead of us this year!
Social Studies: We will begin this year with a unit focusing on map skills. We will then move into the regions of the United States!
We are excited for a fun year of learning in 4th grade!!
