Welcome! As the School Counselor, I am here to support students with social, emotional, and academic concerns. I am accessible by email, phone, and/or a live online video conference, and can plan a time to discuss any concerns you may have.

Meet the Counselor
I am Taki Radiotis, the school counselor here at Lake Hiawatha Elementary School. I have worked in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School district for over twenty years, during that time I taught at the middle school level, and I have counseled at both the elementary and secondary levels, working with students ranging in age from 3 to 14 years old.. In addition to being the counselor, I am also the anti-bullying specialist, chairperson for the Intervention and Referral Committee, and coordinator of student’s 504Plans.
My objective is to remain committed to assisting the students of Lake Hiawatha School to reach their highest potential socially, emotionally, and academically. I am humbled to have the opportunity to support and serve the students and their families during a child’s journey through elementary school, offering assistance and advocacy. Outside of school, you will probably find me outdoors with dogs, most likely walking around my lake community...
Communication is an intrinsic part of any relationship, including relationships between parents of young children and the staff of programs that serve them. The ideal is two way open and frequent communications between parents and the people outside the family. This type of communication increases the likelihood that the exchange of information can be coordinated and provided in ways that have a direct or indirect positive impact on children's development .
